Rides for younger kids

Boats

These boats are one of our oldest rides in the park. They were there when we purchased FUNLAND, and we have guests saying that they rode the boats when they were kids, in the 1940's!

Fire Engines

Just like the boats, the Fire Engines date back to the late 1930s. The Dentino family, who owned the park before the Fasnacht Family purchased it in 1962, has said that this ride was one of the first installed in what was then called Sportland. Made by the Pinto Brothers Co. of Coney Island, NY.

Carousel

Made by the Alan Herschel Co in 1959. It's been updated with a scenery kit made by Chance Rides, Inc. (who had purchased the Alan Herschel Co). The kit is patterned after a Densel Carousel, one of the carousel horse carvers of the early 1900s. Our horses are made of two halves of cast aluminum and welded together!

Balloon Wheel

Our newest ride is made by SBF in Italy, and last season proved it was a great success! Even though the cars seem small, an adult can ride along with one or two of their children. It isn't a big or fast ride, but it gives a unique feeling of going round and round!

SkyFighters

Relive the futuristic dreams of the space age in our SkyFighters (also called the Rocketships or Buzz Bombs). They were manufactured by the Alan Herschel Co. in the mid-1950s.

Motorcycles

Even though we call these the Motorcycles (or Cycles), there are other cars on this ride, including a Dune Buggy, Police Car, and a Race Car. With 6 motorcycles and the 3 cars, there is a capacity for about 20 children. This ride was manufactured by Hampton Rides and was installed in the early 1970s.

Swings

The Swing ride was built by Sartori, Italy, and was originally located outside (in the vicinity of where the train ride and moon bounce were located in Funland's earlier years). After the Building project of 1988-1989 was completed, the Swing ride moved indoors to its present location.

Jungle (Tots side)

The Jungle is an interactive play area divided into a TOTS side and a BIG KIDS side. This TOTS side has a ball pit, junction box, slide, "Foam Forest", and an Air Bounce. Like the BIG KIDS Jungle, the TOTS jungle is designed as a one-way experience.

Big Trucks

The Big Trucks (or Super Trucks) were new in 2001. They replaced a Safari Jeep ride that had been in Funland since 1989. The Trucks are on an oval track and are capable on carrying both children and parents!
